At IVAO, our mission has always been to provide the most realistic and professional virtual aviation environment possible. Today, we are taking a monumental leap forward in that journey. We are thrilled to officially announce a strategic partnership with KEYVAN Aviation, a global leader in aeronautical data solutions.
By integrating KEYVAN Aviation’s EASA-approved navigation data into the IVAO ecosystem, we aren't just updating some data, we are reinforcing the very foundations of our network.
A Legacy of Precision: Who is KEYVAN Aviation?
Founded with a vision to revolutionise flight operations and data analytics, KEYVAN Aviation made history in February 2022. They became the first company in Turkey and one of only four companies worldwide to receive the prestigious Type 1 DAT Provider Certificate from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
This certification isn't just a badge; it is a rigorous guarantee. It proves that KEYVAN’s data processes comply with strict EU regulations (2017/373) and international standards like ED-76A (DO-200B). Their database covers over 32,000 airport aerodromes and 25,000 heliport and helipad aerodromes worldwide, processed in the industry standard ARINC 424 format, ensuring that every waypoint, airway, and procedure mirrors the real world sky.
Driving the Future of the Network
This partnership is a game changer for the IVAO community. By leveraging high-precision, certified data, we are enhancing:
• Operational Realism: ATCs will now operate using the same high fidelity data used by real world airlines and avionics manufacturers.
• Technical Integrity: With updates synced to the 28 day AIRAC cycle, our network remains synchronised with real world global changes instantly.
• Reliability: In line with EU Regulation and its rigorous requirements for aeronautical data quality, KEYVAN applies a highly data processing, production and validation methodology designed to ensure accuracy in final data, used by Avionics systems, ATC customers , Flight Plan and route analyses companies and flight simulators.
Evolution: From Manual to Certified
If we look back at the early days of flight simulation, navigation was often a mix of generic databases and manual, community led updates. While passionate, these methods lacked the global synchronisation and certified accuracy required for true professional grade simulation.
The "past" was defined by fragmented data. The future is defined by certified precision. By moving to KEYVAN’s EASA-approved data, we are removing the "virtual" barriers and bringing our users as close to the real cockpit experience as technology allows.
“The future is data-driven, and we’re proud to build it together.”
This collaboration is more than just a technical upgrade; it’s a commitment to our members. As we continue to grow, our technical foundations must be as strong as the passion of our community. With KEYVAN Aviation by our side, the sky isn't just the limit, it’s a precisely mapped and high-fidelity reality.
